Tom Roger Aadland
Blod på spora

Performer and songwriter Tom Roger Aadland has translated all the songs from Bob Dylan’s legendary album Blood On The Tracks (1975) into Norwegian. Now he’s ready to present them to the audiences. Blod på spora is due for release October 12th, and Tom Roger will perform the songs from the album on an extensive tour this autumn, visiting libraries and arts centres.

Blod på spora

Blod på spora was recorded in a converted school house in the village of Etne, just a few kilometres away from Vikebygd, where Tom Roger grew up. In order to find the right attitude for the emotional songs that make up the album, Tom Roger brought in bass player Per Steinar Lie and drummer Ørjan Haaland from critically acclaimed low-fi post-rock band The Low Frequency in Stereo. Producer and pianist Brian Connor came from Belfast via US.

On these pages you will find lyrics and music, pictures from the recording sessions, and information about the album in general. If you are among those who like to read the lyrics as well, you can download the Norwegian translations here. You can also find all Blod på spora tour dates. Tom Roger will play more than 50 concerts this autumn, ending the tour at the House of Literature (Litteraturhuset) in Oslo December 5th.
